Set among rolling hills, the province of Enna is in the heart of Central Sicily, located in the very middle of the island. Enna itself is a beautiful old royal residence with a romantic old town district, and stunning views from its hill-top castle over almost the entire island. Another gem in the province is the Old Town of Piazza Armerina, and close by is the magnificent Roman Villa with its numerous, fascinating mosaic floors, including the world famous Bikini Girls. Further traces of the ancient Romans can be found at the excavation site of Morgantina. Lake Pergusa, the only natural lake on the island, is an ideal place for a wonderful picnic.
